Barry Ferguson is the hottest young Scot in the business. He joined Rangers at 16 years of age cleaning boots and was an instant hit, earning great reviews for the junior team. He made his debut in 1996/97 season against Hearts and was voted man of the match. Since then he has matured into a hugely talented midfielder, sort after by many top European clubs, so it was a blessing to see him sign a new 6 year contract keeping him at Rangers until 2005. In The 2001 season Barry Ferguson became captain which is such a honour for a young man to achieve at such a big club like Rangers. Barry now has become a legend for Rangers playing a vital role in the Famous 2002/03 season where the title was won on goal differance. But just when you thought Barry was going to be mentioned in the same breath as say Ally McCoist he left the club to join Blackburn Rovers.
